Alberto Zorzan appointed CEO of ATM Group

On 24th July the Board of Directors of ATM Group appointed Alberto Zorzan as Chief Executive Officer. At the international level, Alberto Zorzan also serves as Vice President - representing Italian members - on the Executive Board of UITP, the International Association of Public Transport, with over 1,900 members from more than 100 countries.

Mr Zorzan, who holds a degree in Civil Transport Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, is a manager with extensive experience in the sector, having developed both technical and managerial expertise in the field of mobility. He previously worked at ATM until 2022, taking on roles of increasing responsibility, eventually becoming Director of Operations.
From 2022 to 2025, he served as General Manager of ATAC, Rome’s public transport company, where he led a record season of investments – from the purchase of new buses and trams to the extraordinary maintenance of the metro and tram network infrastructure – and brought the company to break even.

Mr Zorzan is President of ATM Group’s subsidiary International Metro Service and Board member of Metro Service Copenhagen, Vice President of the SBE Consortium, the Electronic Ticketing System of the Lombardy Region. Among his institutional roles in Italy, he is a member of the General Council of Assolombarda, – the association of companies operating in the Metropolitan City of Milan and in the provinces of Lodi, Monza and Brianza, and Pavia -, and Vice President of Agens, the association representing the transport sector and services within the Confindustria system.
