On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, ATM Group reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility and the cultural and social progress of the communities it serves through a wide-reaching awareness campaign across Milan’s transport systems.
Now in its third edition, the 2025 initiative was developed in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan and its network of Anti-violence Centres. The aim is to engage passengers, employees and the wider public in a shared message: ending gender-based violence is a collective responsibility.
To spark reflection and capture attention, the campaign uses a creative approach using wordplay inspired by metro station names.
The campaign is accompanied by insiemecontrolaviolenza.it, a website that provides information to help recognise the many different forms of male violence against women, psychological, physical, sexual, economic and digital. It also offers support for seeking help, including guidance on how to contact Milan’s Anti-Violence Centres and advice on how to act.
To further amplify the message, on 25 November, audio announcements will be broadcast across the network promoting 1522—the national helpline available 24/7 for women experiencing violence or stalking.
Throughout the month of November, the campaign will be featured in metro stations, at surface transport stops and across our digital channels, reaching a broad audience thanks to the extensive coverage of ATM network, which serves over 2 million passengers daily.
ATM’s commitment to gender equality has also been recognised with the Gender Equality Award, promoted by Assolombarda, Italy’s largest territorial business association. The Award celebrates companies fostering equal opportunities, female leadership and inclusive workplaces.
